A Useful New Skill for the New Year!
I don't know about you, but to some looking at my life, 2022 was a complete disaster for me. I battled breast cancer, withstood chemotherapy, and all my hair fell out. I couldn't work for a year, and as a single mom, it was an overwhelming experience.
When I told my family that I had cancer, they abandoned me. It all seemed so hopeless. However, as a Master Hypnotist with almost three decades of experience, I had to use my skills of suggestion to get through it and come out on top, which I did. I'm now cured, I've made dozens of new friends that have become found family, and I have found love and inspiration in community. I am only surrounded by people who love me. Those who are not on the Maritess Train 100% are not allowed in my inner circle.
Before 2022, I used to be a depressed lonely person. A people-pleaser. Now, after that cancer scare, I have found my people and I love my life. I opened a new office in a glamorous area by the water in Seattle. The hypnosis shows have returned, and my client list has become quite long and international. I found the riches inside the poopy that was given me, and I'm so much better for it. And now dear readers, here are five tips that I want to share with you to overcome any obstacle, and use suggestion to make your ideal life come true.
Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Tip #1 - Only Think of What you Want, and NOT What you Don't Want.
My dear readers, we all have such vibrant imaginations. Instead of using that gift to hurl yourself into a spiral, use your innate powers to envision what it is that you DO want. For instance instead of saying , "I hate my job," Your self-suggestion would be I'm searching for a job that pays well and satisfies my soul and uses my talents.
Tip #2 - If you Can't think of a Solution, Sit in a Dark Room for Two Hours.
Actually, this would also be achieved by traditional meditation. But for those who are not considering themselves of that ilk, I challenge you to just sit there in a dark room. Your subconscious will tell you what to do.
Tip #3 - Stressed out? A Suggestion: Excuse yourself from the situation as many times as it takes.
Find a corner of the room with a chair, close your eyes, and breathe. Do box breathing. Inhale for six, hold it, exhale for six, hold it. Repeat. This worked like a charm during the lockdown when I would have panic attacks
Tip #4 - Use Your Third Eye. I'm Serious.
When I did hypnobirthing on myself, I was I labor for 12 hours. For those who don't know, that feels like a hard pinch. So imagine someone pinching you really hard for 12 hours. How did I get through it? I told myself that I am the entrance to the next generation. I know. Goofy. But desperate times calls for desperate measures. Use wacky imagery. Your brain cannot think of more than one thing at a time. When I began to feel pain, I breathed, focused on my third eye, and had all that pain shoot out the top of my head like a beautiful beam of light. I did that for 12 hours. Highly recommend hypnosis for pain relief.
Tip #5 - Be Kind to Yourself
Hypnosis is suggestion. I know in this misogynist and patriarchal society, women and men are always under the auspices of expectation and false role models fashioned by Hollywood. Be kind to yourself. When you talk to yourself, say great things. Every. Single. Client. I've had has had to be corrected by me. For instance, instead of saying, "I'm so stupid," say, "I'm learning and growing." Be nice to yourself and your life starts to open up.
